Zhengzhou, Henan, China — Henan Jiacui Intelligent Equipment Co., Ltd. (JIACUI) has completed the factory acceptance testing, packing and dispatch of a new batch of eco-friendly dry-type copper wire granulators for overseas customers. The consignment covers several models drawn from the JIACUI granulator range and is destined for recycling yards in multiple international markets.

This dispatch follows the pattern that has defined our production through the year: dry-process machines specified for customers who want to convert scrap cable into saleable copper granules without the water consumption, effluent and sludge handling that a wet separation process requires. Every unit in this batch was tested on customer-supplied material before packing, and the confirmed throughput and separation figures were recorded and issued with the shipping documentation.

What was dispatched

The batch includes machines from across the JIACUI range, reflecting the fact that cable recycling businesses differ enormously in scale — from start-up yards processing a few tonnes a month to established plants running multi-shift production.

Model class

Typical capacity

Typical application

Model 300 / Model 350 class

100–220 kg/h

Start-up and growing yards moving from manual stripping to continuous granulation

Model 660 class

600–650 kg/h

Production-class yards and WEEE processors running extended shifts

Model 800 / Model 1000 class

700–1,000 kg/h

Large recycling plants, cable manufacturers' off-cut recovery and scrap exporters

All machines in this shipment are dry-process systems: mechanical shredding and granulation, air gravity separation and vibrating-screen classification, with closed dust collection. No water is used in the separation process and there is no liquid effluent stream.

Pre-shipment testing: what happens before a machine leaves the factory

One of the questions we are asked most often by first-time buyers is what verification they can expect before their machine is shipped. For every unit in this batch, the following was completed:

  1. Assembly and dimensional verification against the approved layout drawing.
  2. Electrical inspection against the load schedule, including control panel function and safety interlock testing.
  3. No-load running test covering rotor balance, vibration, bearing temperature and noise.
  4. Load test on customer-supplied or representative material, with feed weight, copper output weight, plastic output weight and achieved throughput recorded.
  5. Separation verification — inspection of both the copper product and the plastic fraction to confirm copper content and residual plastic in the product.
  6. Photographic and video record of the test run, issued to the customer with the test data.

The load test is the important one. A dry-type granulator's published capacity figure is measured under defined conditions, and its real performance depends on the cable mix it is fed. Testing on the customer's own material is the only way to establish what the machine will actually do in service, and it is the point at which any discrepancy is still easy to resolve.

Packing and protection for long-distance freight

Overseas dispatch places demands on a machine that domestic delivery does not. For this batch, each machine was:

  • Drained and protected against corrosion for an ocean voyage in humid conditions.
  • Secured to a reinforced base and braced inside the container to prevent movement during transit.
  • Fitted with protective wrapping on control panels, exposed shafts, screens and electrical components.
  • Shipped with a documentation set covering the equipment list, electrical drawings, operating manual, maintenance schedule, commissioning procedure and spare-parts list.
  • Accompanied by certification documentation, including CE, ISO and CSA documentation as applicable to the destination market.

Why dry-type granulation keeps winning overseas orders

The commercial logic behind this shipment is the same logic we see across our export markets. Cable recyclers want clean separation, but they also want to avoid the permanent burden of process water: the cost of supply, the treatment plant, the sludge disposal, the discharge permits and the accelerated corrosion of wetted components. Where a dry line can reach comparable copper purity — and with variable-speed air separation and multi-stage separation it can — the operating case is straightforward.

Regulatory pressure is reinforcing the same direction. Across many of our destination markets, environmental permitting for liquid effluent is becoming slower and more burdensome, while requirements around dust control and workplace safety are tightening. A process with no water discharge is materially simpler to permit and to operate compliantly.

Installation and commissioning support

Dispatch is the midpoint of a project, not the end of it. Each machine in this batch is supplied with commissioning support: remote guidance during installation, a structured commissioning procedure, operator training on feeding, separation tuning and blade maintenance, and a defined acceptance test at site. Customers in most regions can also arrange an on-site engineer visit, and remote video support is available for the rest.

We also encourage every customer to record the commissioning mass balance — feed in, copper out, plastic out, dust collected — and to keep recording it daily. Two weeks of those numbers will tell an operator more about whether the machine is set up correctly than any inspection, and it gives a firm baseline against which to detect blade wear and separation drift later.
